Canberra Games Society
The incredibly warm and welcoming members of the Canberra Games Society (CGS) not only run regular gaming meets, but host the annual Cancon and Wintercon events, where gamers from all systems of tabletop can unite and compete in tournaments and competitions!
What do you play?
If you can play it on a tabletop, CGS play it or host a tournament in it at Cancon or Wintercon. This list is by no means all inclusive, but just a selection of their library: Bolt Action, DBA, Flames of War, Horse and Musket, Napoleon at War, all sorts of boardgames, RPGs, Battletech, Warhammer 40K, Warhammer Fantasy, Infinity, Malifaux, Warmachine, Hordes, and more!
Where and when do you meet?
Club Rooms of the Canberra Bridge Club
6 Duff Place, Deakin, ACT
From 1930 onwards
What's the vibe of the club? Do you do tournaments or just relaxed gaming?
The CGS members are very friendly, very warm and welcoming. They are the yellow shirted fellows who run Cancon and Wintercon, always ready with a quick joke and a smile. Their tournaments are very well organised and attract a large, interstate group of players. If you are in Canberra and interested in gaming, and you haven't yet heard about them, don't hesitate to get in contact!
What’s the best way to get in contact with the club?
Send an email to the club president Peter Gillard at email@example.com if you're interested in coming along!
